The authors examined 45 published studies that reported the use of S-LCA as a tool to evaluate social hotspots in the transition to a circular economy. Findings highlight the need for collaboration between S-LCA practitioners and industries for accurate assessments. Key steps include defining system boundaries, selecting impact categories, gathering data from diverse sources, and accurately reporting social impacts. Despite complexities, S-LCA is crucial for evaluating social risks in the CE transition.
